The Blues (12 Bar Blues)

Focus
To develop an awareness of the social and historical use of songs to express feeling and emotions.  Pupils will develop their understanding of chord sequences and progressions through performance and listening.  They will also compose their own song in the style of blues.  To gain information about composers and different styles.  To learn to play bass boogie woogie lines.

Objectives
Learn 12 bar blues and boogie woogie.
